Scholarship for Campus courses
2024 Pride in Brewing Scholarship
WHY WAS THE PRIDE IN BREWING SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED?
Craft beer has a diversity problem. Members of the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities are underrepresented across the industry—from customers to employees and ownership. In 2018, Beer Dabbler decided to take positive action by establishing the Pride in Brewing Scholarship for a brewing program with the mission to help members of the LGBTQ+ community break into the brewing industry. Established in 2022, we are excited to again be awarding two scholarships for the Siebel Institute WBA Concise Course in Brewing Technology on-campus course in Chicago, Illinois.
Pride In Brewing Scholarship applications are accepted now through Sept. 1, 2024.
Are you a member of the LGTBQ+ community and interested in breaking into or advancing in a career in brewing? Dabbler & Friends, the nonprofit arm of Beer Dabbler, is offering two full-ride scholarships to the WBA Concise Course in Brewing Technology at the internationally renowned brewing school, Siebel Institute in Chicago. The program is an on-campus two-week course happening from November 4–15 that will give you a solid foundation in brewing fundamentals. A travel stipend of $1,500 will be awarded in addition to the scholarship to help offset expenses for making accommodations during the program.
The candidates will be notified of the selection by Sept. 15, 2024. Application information can be found on the web at https://beerdabbler.com/pride-in-brewing-scholarship-application/.
