Faculty and Extended Faculty

Ann Fahy-Gust is one of the co-owners and brewmaster of South by SouthEast Minnesota Brewing Company. Ann has been brewing professionally for most of her life, starting her career with Coors and traveled the world working for Coors, Guinness, Scottish Courage, and building breweries from the ground up along the way. She eventually became one of the first female Master Brewers in the United States, and is a former graduate of the Siebel Institute as well. Ann’s passion for the industry was made even sweeter by travel, making new friends along with great beer!

Ann currently is running the operations for South by SouthEast Minnesota Brewing Company, which includes beer recipe formulation and creation, brewing, quality control, taproom management and distribution coordination. Her personal motto Micah 6:8 “Seek Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly with your God” is on display as she teaches and shares her passion of brewing with all those around her. In her spare time, Ann can be found creating beautiful stained glass work which fills the windows of her 100 year old house.
