Faculty and Extended Faculty

Florian Kuplent has worked in a diverse range of brewing environments over nearly 2 decades in the brewing industry. Starting as a brewer’s apprentice in a small German brewery, Florian built his brewing knowledge working with such companies as Meantime Brewing Co. (UK), Brauerei Beck’s (Bremen Germany), Brouwerij Duvel Moortgat (Breendonk, Belgium), and Mash (London, England).

Over several years with Anheuser-Busch, Florian was also given free rein to experiment with new ingredients and different recipes at the brewery’s experimental microbrewery, where he created a series of award-winning craft-style beers under the well-known Michelob brand. Florian is now Brewmaster at Urban Chestnut Co. (USA and Germany) where he works to bring new and exciting ideas in brewing ales, lagers and specialty beers.
